Amazing Coffee maker and features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This coffee maker has so many “perks”, ease of use; you pour the water in the front and no spilling a drop, pop out coffee filter basket, consistent flavor with measured coffee mounts every time. And the flavor is delicious, it brews slowly to get all the flavor for. The coffee grounds. I use freshly ground beans, be sure to grind them up fine. It is a very attractive coffee maker too, looks really nice on my counter. This is my first Hamilton Beach coffee maker, I usually high end coffee makers but I love this one and would buy another coffees maker just like this one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I did not look at the description closely when I selected this coffee maker. Seeing the hopper, I incorrectly assumed it was a coffee grinder. That addition could possibly justify the trade-off of counter space. I am not sure what the hopper adds to the performance of the coffee maker.
The only real pro would be the front water fill. The cons would be that it is large and difficult to clean. It is hard to determine the up-side of purchasing this over a regular coffee maker.
I have only used it a handful of times, the coffee it brewed was fine—just not sure how it really differs from any other smaller programmable coffee maker.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great tasting Coffee

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the way it measures the scoops for you. It gives a consistent taste to the coffee especially with many coffee drinkers in my house. I also love that you can store the coffee in the hopper on top less things on my counter. So far the coffee has stayed fresh. I like the reminders it gives you to add water or remove the old filter. I’m disappointed it doesn’t have a keep warm button. If you accidentally turn it off and then back on to keep it warm it wants to brew a new cycle even if you haven’t added water or any scoops. It’s a little hard to pour the very last of the water into the reservoir.The carafe pours

This coffee maker is easy to set up and easy to use.
it comes with an automatic grounds dispensing unit where it stores and dispenses the coffee grounds for you and remembers how much you have used before. You can feel the water reservoir from the front of the coffee maker instead of the back like some others and you can even view the water levels in the window I think that's great and it makes it so much easier to fill.
It has a 12-cup capacity so you can Brew up to 12 cups of coffee. I like how I can let other people make a pot of coffee and it still will taste like it does every single time I make it.

We LOVE coffee: every morning, no exceptions … just like everyone I suppose. With so much to do in preparing for the days event with 2 kids, 2 dogs, etc.; the one step we save in putting coffee grounds in the coffee maker helps. The storage for the coffee seals tight to keep the coffee fresh. We buy prepackaged grounds and have not had any issues with the grounds being “scooped” out into the basket. The coffee storage holds closer to 10 ounces of ground coffee than the 12 ounces that is in the description. Speaking of storage, this coffee maker is taller than most and just fits under our cabinets with little room to spare. You will definitely have to pull it out to fill with coffee and to fill with water. Not much of a deal but something to consider. The machine is beautiful and looks great sitting on the counter all while having many convenient features available right through the front displays.
You can see the water levels from the front, and the digital display provides you with messages: reminder to remove the old grounds from the night before, to fill water reservoir, to select and adjust the amount of grounds to adjust the strength of your coffee (and it remembers until you change it), to run a cleaning cycle (usually after 30 uses according to the manual), the time, and any error messages such as the basket not being closed. Like other coffee makers, you can set it up to run in advance so coffee is hot and ready when you need it. It does not have contiguous warming, which I think is pretty common.
We have had the coffee maker for a few days and are trying to perfect how many scoops to get the strength we like. So far, it’s great. A little more convenient than other coffee makers and makes coffee without issue. As we use it longer, I will update our review.

Conveniently Brewed Excellent Coffee

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mindful of one's counter space, this coffeemaker measures 9 inches wide, 11.50 inches deep, 13.75 inches high without the hopper attached, and 14.25 inches high with the hopper attached. One can choose from three modes of operation: manual, automatic, and programmed. In manual mode (with or without the hopper attached), one adds ground to the basket (using paper or reusable liner), adds water to the reservoir, and presses the I/O (brew now) button. In automatic mode, one fills the optional hopper with up to 12 oz. of GROUND coffee (it does not grind beans), fills the reservoir with water and, depending on the amount of water used, one selects the amount of coffee to be automatically added to the lined basket in tablespoon increments – up to 16 tablespoons (the coffeemaker “remembers” the last setting so no need to repeat every time), and then presses the I/O button. In programable mode, one follows the automatic mode steps except, instead of pressing the I/O button, one programs the coffeemaker to start at a predetermined time – upon which the coffee brews automatically. So, what’s the big deal? Using the hopper, one eliminates a coffee can or canister on the countertop (coffee should be stored at room temp – not the fridge). Unlike similar auto dispensed coffee makers, the hopper is air tight to minimize oxidation of the already ground beans. After each pot of coffee, I change the filter, add water and when I need a fresh pot, all I do is push the I/O button and voilà – no getting coffee canister and scoop, no fumbling around in a minimally lit kitchen at night or blurry eyed first thing in the morning, i.e., I eliminate the prospect of spilt coffee grounds on the counter or floor. Added features: the coffee maker will shut off after 2 hours of keep warm setting; can be set for regular or bold brew; and can use an optional water filter (not included). For me, the convenience is worth it. I have gotten into the habit of changing the filter and adding water after a fresh batch is brewed; for the next batch, I just push the I/O button and I’m done. Most importantly, my coffee strength is consistent: I add the same amount of water and have the dispenser set to deliver the same amount of coffee every time. For the added convenience and consistent cup of coffee, I highly recommend this coffee maker.
