Great multi-function appliance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoy this digital air fryer. At first, i thought it would be good for only cooking foods that one would normally fry. But I found out that one can cook a variety of items in this fryer.
When I unpacked it, it did seem a bit large for my countertop. I cleaned the basked and bottom pan, then plugged it in. At first the "on" indicator did not light up; then I realized the basket and pan had to be in the unit before it lit up. Second, you have to press down for a couple of seconds on the "on" indicator button in order for the menu to light up. That was not clear from the instructions.
The first time I used it I cooked fries. I have to say they didn't turn out too well, but I found out later I didn't prepare them correctly. First, I didn't spray the fries evenly with oil; second, I overcrowded the basked.
The second time I cooked brussel sprouts. I seasoned and oiled them well, placed them on an even layer in the basket, and cooked them in the vegetable setting. They turned out great; almost caramelized and tender.
The third time I cooked steaks. I was able to fit four small, boneless steaks in the basket. Again, oiled them and seasoned well, placed them in one layer in the basket, and cooked in the steak setting. We liked ours well-done so I increased the standard time setting from 35 minutes to 42 minutes. They were great: almost crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
I would definitely recommend this fryer to others. I can't wait to try other foods in this versatile appliance.
Other features I like about this fryer: both the basked and bottom pan are non-stick and very easy to clean. There cord stores inside the body of the fryer; it doesn't automatically retract, but you push it in and it stays well hidden inside.
One think I don't like very much is the stainless steel finish, because it smudges easily and one can leave visible fingerprints on it. I'd much rather prefer the all-black finish.
I would recommend making the instructions more clear as to how the unit won't start without the basking and pan being in the unit; and that one has to press down on the "on" button for a few seconds before the menu options appear.
I'm a short person, so if the menu display and screen were on the front of the unit, rather than on the top, it would be much easier to view the display (for a petite person like me).

The possibilities are endless. My fried chicken came out amazing. Tasted like it was from a restaurant

Good, and easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the air fryer from hamilton beach is a good element in the kitchen, it makes cooking time easier, but above all it helps you cook without the help of oil, the potatoes are crispy and that was only achieved by frying in oil and they were very greasy, and in 15 minutes in the air fryer they are crispy on the outside but soft on the inside, I liked that the pork chops were cooked perfect and only a little fat remained from the same meat, in addition to that it is very easy to clean, It has a good size and the cable with which it connects can be stored inside it and that helps to maintain a little order in the kitchen, the only thing I would have liked is that they included a recipe book, there are many on the Internet but I still prefer the traditional way.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Hamilton Beach 3 Liter Digital Air Fryer to try out in my home. We are a young family of four and it is perfect for us. I have an InstaPot with the Air Fryer lid that I will no longer use since trying this one out. I've re-heated quesadillas and cooked frozen burritos in it and they turned out perfectly. I can't wait to try out other things! I love how easy it is to use the touchscreen and cleaning is so easy. I'll be using this Air Fryer all summer instead of my oven since we don't have air conditioning where we live.

Not only is it so simple and give you the times and temperature for main foods (which for someone like me, makes it so much easier!) But it cooks your food so perfectly and healthier!
