Wanted another GE dishwasher because my old one finally quit working after 25yrs.
I also have a GE refrigerator that is 24yrs. old and still working and a GE range 25yrs. old.
GE is a very dependable brand.

Time it takes to do a simple wash

The washer is quiet and that is very important. It will not hold as many dishes as my last one. If you try to put small items between the plates or saucers etc. it leaves spots on the upper level of silverware. I have had spots on the several times and on some of the pots and pans

A true oxymoron is, listen to that dishwasher. There's nothing to hear this unit is so quiet you have to look at the display to be sure it's running.
As to other features: the 3rd rack or silver shelf is a great addition, as are the bottle jets. I've always had to hand wash vases before this. It's a suggestion they add a couple to the lower rack for taller items. I have yet to use the steam feature but do use the temperature boost since the unit is located pretty far from our hot h2o heater.

Love the 3rd rack, features for specific cleaning, like bottles or a half load. Super clean looking on the outside too, and quiet! So happy with this purchase!
