Very disappointed

I bought this dishwasher not even 2 years ago. While it was still under warranty (last year)water pump went out, it got fixed by a technician. This time is leaking water through the main gasket at the bottom. My wood floor is ruined and I had to spent a whole night after work fixing it, I could say the quality on rubber gaskets and rubber elbows GE uses is really poor, hot water kills them quit. Do not buy it. Avoid wasting time, money and trouble.

Worked Great for 1.5 Years

The washer worked great running it on average once at night but a year and half later it started tripping our GFCI. We replaced the outlet and it is still doing it. Dishwashers should last more then 4 years before that start having problems like this.

My favorite dishwasher

I bought this dishwasher in 2019 and it has been awesome! I run a load everyday and have had zero negative issues. My dishwasher is my baby. Imagine my disappointment that we are leaving and i have to leave her behind, and you guys don't make this model anymore! The GDF645 model doesn't have the 3rd rack, it's the closest model i can find. Bring this one back please!

Not great for what I spent

Ran fine for a while, but now its hit or miss if it will power on. Not sure what the problem is, I've checked the voltage at the outlet, and its fine. Spending this kind of money on an appliance that doesn't work for more then 18 months is silly, especially when it has a 12 month warranty.

Common problem

Machine cleans well, but I'm waiting for it to die. Based on the many, many accounts of random power to the lights accompanied by the beep that indicates it's on, which for most is followed by complete failure, there is clearly a serious defect in this machine. I now have the first symptom--lights come on for no reason--and I suspect it won't be long before it stops working altogether. Many users have reported you can cut the power to it and restore it (most people use the breaker) and it will work for awhile, but ultimately the board has to be replaced, and then the problem usually returns. I'll update if/when it dies, which I suspect will happen soon. Why GE hasn't addressed this problem is beyond me. If the dishwasher was a car, it definitely would've been recalled.

I love this dish washer, however a few weeks ago it had just stopped working and it worked a few times with turning the breaker on and off. I got on here and seen a lot of other people having similar issues and said it was the main control board. Earlier today I mentioned to my husband to double check the wiring to make sure one did t come loose. He didn’t think it was but did it and I was right. Just a thought before replacing the control board or getting a new dishwasher. Check the main wiring for power to the dishwasher but make sure to turn the circuit breaker off first lol.
