Quiet!

Bought this dishwasher as a replacement for ours which recently stopped working. What a difference! We used to only run the dishwasher after everyone went to bed because of the noise. This new GE model is nearly silent! you can hear the spray hit a plate just right every so often, but as far as the machinery itself, there is very little audible noise besides some clicking noise when the cycle changes. The many different cycles are a plus too. We live in the south and drink a LOT of fluids in the summer. The one hour wash function is nice because a load of cups is easily and quickly finished. I also recently tried out the heavy duty function on a casserole dish that was used to cook lasagna, and it came out squeeky clean. This dishwasher is definitely worth the money. The only caveat I've found is that using the drying function is a must. There must be very little airflow into the washer because if you don't use the drying function, the dishes stay wet for a long time.

Best appliance ever

I have enjoyed my dishwasher...I've had to wash dishes by hand for the past 5 yrs. Now instead of cleaning the kitchen for an hour. It now takes 15 mins. More time to be with my family. I love the smell of a clean glass when drinking my favorite beverages. I am so appreciative of my GE dishwasher.

Installation took 2 hours!

Installation instructions were not very detailed. Did not come with wire nuts. Did not come with Owners Manual. Needed more than a handful of tools for installation.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We love our new GE dishwasher. It is so quiet we have to check it to see that it is running! The features are great, also. This was an excellent replacement for our older unit.

the design is laid out perfectly for optimal loading.
It is not a "silent" dishwasher, but so much quieter that the previous one.
