pump not trustworthy

Once again this dishwasher is not draining. It had its pump replaced under warranty when it was only 3 days installed. Today I am having the same issue only the 1 year warranty is expired by 2 months. 2 pumps out. I'm sure this will be the last GE appliance that I purchase.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the 3 racks

Just love the extra 3rd top rack. The bottle jets and holders. The baskets on the bottom.

So quiet, lots of space, the silverware rack at top is AWESOME, the bottle washer does a really good job on bottles and travel mugs, I got lucky and choose a GREAT dishwasher. This dishwasher was installed in my 91 yr old mothers home and now my daughter wants one also. Baby bottles on the way (due in June )we have started saving! Thanks GE, well designed.

Exceeded My Expectations

Best dishwasher I have ever used, home or commercial. The stainless door renders the unit whisper quiet, third rack keeps my stainless-ware spot free, as well my dishes and mugs and bowls. The full cycles take longer than I had expected, but as we are only a two person household, even our pets' dishes can be washed perfectly by running every other day, even though we cook at home six or seven days a week. The stainless-ware and dishes are so hot at the end of a cycle, I have no doubt that they are indeed fully sanitized during the wash cycles. The unit itself remains clean and spot free after a wash. Our old unit was a competitor's product which was fifteen years old. Even when new, the competitor's washer was nowhere near as effective, and quite loud with their standard plastic door. This fine product has completely changed the way I run my kitchen. As I had very positive experience with a new washer/dryer set from GE, I had hoped to get a GE dishwasher as well. Their appliances seem to me to be of a superior quality, with better function, better results, and are so convenient that they actually make standard household chores more enjoyable to complete. I am both happy with and proud of my new product.

Unfortunately doesn't dry the dishes very well

I have been using this dishwasher for just over 4 months, so can now supply a well-rounded evaluation. I have the white model and it's very easy to care for and keep clean. I chose this dishwasher for a number of reasons: the 3rd shelf at the top; the bottle washer / spray feature; the ability to move the 2nd shelf to different levels; the ability to set the cycle to clean just the top or bottom rack; and the fact the soap dispenser is on the door and the operating buttons are on the front. I am still happy with most of the features that led me to this choice. However, the bottle washer/sprayer is something I have yet to use (so probably shouldn't have bothered with it), and I haven't yet washed only the top or bottom rack (but still like the idea - especially for my husband's ball caps). The dishwasher cleans well, though I'm one of those who rinses dishes before putting them into the dishwasher. I'm not happy with the configuration of the bottom (3rd) rack. The back set of separating "prongs" are too far apart and smaller plates, etc. will not stand upright and it doesn't hold bowls or other items well (the front set are great). My biggest complaint is with the drying cycle. It's almost always set to "heated" dry & none of the plastic items (on the top or 2nd rack) get dry, plus many of the glass & ceramic items are wet or hold water in the minute indentations - such as coffee cups and water glasses. The items I put on the very top rack never get completely dry. Also the silverware does not dry completely so I often have water spots if I don't physically dry them before putting them away. I occasionally add the "boost" dry and then it's better, but many items still come out wet, and "boost" substantially increases the cycle time. My last dishwasher (which worked well from 1999 through 2020) was much better at drying the dishes and didn't even have a "boost" cycle. All-in-all I've been happy with my choice. I've had no issues that required contacting GE. I do need to mention the GE emblem at the bottom is ugly and should be removed - definitely not necessary.

Less than good!

I purchased this dishwasher after deciding my dishwasher that was 15 years old needed an upgrade. From the beginning it never dried the dishes, and I’ve never been really satisfied with the performance. Now, it’s stopped draining and only after a year from the time of purchase. I’ve gone through all the troubleshooting. Checking The air gap, the hose, and the filter. Everything‘s fine it just stopped draining and of course it’s just now out of warranty! I would not recommend this product at all!
