This is a great product. Price performance of an AMD Ryzen 4000 series laptop and integrated graphics. Wife and I enjoy it's portability and quality. I'm going to get another laptop for myself as soon as more premium Ryzen laptops are available, like a 4800U. I'm a cad and graphics guy so a 4K monitor on an x360 Spectre with a Ryzen CPU and vega graphics would be the right thing for me. My wife enjoys this one we bought though, and I'm jealous. This generation, buy AMD 4000 folks, Intel's offerings just don't match up. Now I wish OEMs like Hp would offer more premium specs. Once they do, they can have more of our money.

Already overheating and unrecognized internal mic

My laptop arrived one week ago, and, though it runs quickly, it already overheats regularly and is not able to identify it's internal microphone.

Of course the specs tell you what you need to know about the performance. An I7 with 16Gb ram and an SSD is going to perform well. I bought this for the small size and long battery life and so far am very happy. You have a decision about whether you can live with the small screen, but if you can, then this is a great machine for it's portability. My only complaint is that the SD card ready is not full-sized which means that if I want to load pictures from a Camera, for example, I have to buy the smaller SD cards with the adapters.

I purchased this computer for note taking work on my electronic health record program for a chiropractic office. Out of the box it was easy to set up with my various programs including my Wi-Fi. The touch response is very reliable and fast. There is a nice flat keyboard that is also very responsive. The fingerprint reader is much faster and responsive than earlier versions on HP laptops. This is a nice feature. This was a great purchase.

The laptop has a good amount of power for its size. The battery life is better than average. The screen is clear and crisp. It supports 2 external 4k monitors. The laptop works well for a software engineer. The fans are noisier than average. The laptop needs a better cooling system.

Light and small. Just what I needed. Memory storage for files can be easily doubled by using the microSD slot. I have an HP OMEN beast of a lap top that I use at home. This one does my heavy lifting as far as workload. I needed the HP ENVY 13 to cart back and forth to work and for travel.
