It is OK. Based on the price I shouldn’t have expected perfection, but I do usually expect a little better than OK from Cuisinart. I have many Cuisinart appliances - Griddler, drip coffee pot, small and large food processors, ice cream maker, immersion blender and there could be a couple more. The problem I have with this toaster is that it doesn’t toast evenly. One side is always darker than the other, so you really have to watch the setting. You might need to fuss around with it a bit, depending on how dark or light you can tolerate one side of your toast!!

I've used the toaster only a few times since purchase but is so much better than my old toaster. You can regulate the darkness of the toast which I have been experimenting with but found 4 seemed to cover most bread. In addition, it has the extra settings like "bagels" which I recently used for toaster waffles, the deep dish kind, and turned out crispy outside but soft inside. So far it has been a good product.

This is excellent and so is the price. Sometimes I get a little scared away by bad reviews, even though most of them are good. I decided, based on the name brand and the good reviews, to give this a chance. I’ve had it for a few months. It is used quite a few times a day. I absolutely love it; it’s exactly the toaster I need right now.
