I bought this toaster a couple of months ago. I went with Cuisinart because I have always had great luck with their products. How ever, I am disappointed in this toaster. I love the fact that it adjusts to the size of whatever item is put in. But it always toasts one side way darker than the other. I have tried to adjust the light to dark dial and it makes no difference. I usually end up with one side burnt.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased this several weeks ago and am finding it to be a good toaster. I use gluten free bread and it toasts it quite evenly. My previous toaster, not a Cusinart, didn't.

I love the simplicity of the toaster settings and how my toast comes out perfect every single time. It is uniformly toasted on both sides unlike my previous toaster which would be a hit and a miss where one side would be un-toasted and the other side burnt.
