For the price, I think the toaster seems a little flimsy and a bit on the cheap side. Would not recommend.

We wanted a white toaster, and one with a reputable brand, so we chose the Cuisinart. It works well, as promised. However, the two sides of each toast slice have slightly inconsistent “colorings” — like lots of brands, unfortunately. My other quibble is that a thinner-than-usual slice winds up falling down on one side or the other of the “platform” the slice rests upon. Is there not some way for the slice to be grabbed/partially enclosed when you lower the slice to be toasted??? Please try!!!

Almost a five star, but not quite. On the same setting (bagel and 3.5) I sometimes get perfect toasting and sometimes get singed edges. I'm sure it is related to the thickness of the bagel and/or my slicing, but I have no way to anticipate this problem. Otherwise, it is speedy and effective. A major improvement over its predecessor.

We bought this one to replace the exact same model we had bought 4 years earlier. Would have liked the old one to last a bit longer, but for the price and for something used daily, we had no doubts about buying the same again. So far works fine.
