I can't tell you how disappointed I am 8n my new Cuisinart toaster. I have been an avid fan for many years, but this model is horrible! It toasts the bottom of the bread only. If you push it down again, it burns the bottom half & the top half is still untoasted.

This is the best toaster I’ve owned. Stylish in white to match our kitchen. Toasts fast and very evenly. No need to take the bread out and rotate for even toasting.

This is a very nice looking toaster but it doesn't toast both sides of bread evenly, one side is perfect and the other side of bread is barely toasted. The slide has to be pushed down multiple times before it will stay down. Maybe it was my luck to get the bad one of the lot, but I will be looking for another NEW TOASTER.

Toast cooks on one side. The lever to start the toaster takes several tries to get it to stick closed.

I bought 2 of these, one for home and one for the RV. I have been using this at home for a few weeks. I use it every day. I do have to flip my bagel and do another 15-20 second to get it browned evenly. It's way faster than the one it replaced. I am still experimenting with the settings.
