It was surprising to get it and it was plastic. My old one was metal and I've had it for probably 25 years. It took a lot of beating and kept performing. It just got old.

Good toaster, like the options. There were two types of toasters with identical packaging when I purchased this item. One had fewer options, but it was the same price. Very unethical

Not long enough for bread width and toasts unevenl

Not long enough for bread width, im not saying super wide soursough bread, but something a little wider than sandwich bread it isnt fitting so i have to turn it the other direction so the bread sticks out the top and doesnt get toasted. Ok for thickness of bagels so the width is fine. Big negative is i am also seeing it toasts unevenly, half of the bread is getting more burnt.
