I would’ve given the toaster five stars but the lever you push down to begin the toasting process hardly stayed down at all when I first got the toaster. However, with much perseverance, it is now functioning for the most part but one must really push it firmly down.

This is a very poorly engineered toaster. Like many reviews before me (today: 5/27/23):
1. It does not toast at all evenly;
2. The round darkness level dial on bottom left is very wobbly and then, the toasting level is never very even. We should be able to know what level the actual toaster is on, like your previous model, I think it was a CPT-120. That one at least gave us an LED read-out for the level we selected.
3. Yes, along with the reviews before me, the slots are somewhat too narrow for what we expected for the advertisements.
No, I would not recommend this one. Cuisinart should stop making this model. Go back to the drawing board!!
