The toaster seems to work fine with two slices of bread. But without canging the settings it will burn one piece of bread.

I like the toaster - small, attractive -- but it doesn't toast evenly. It toasts the edges well but not the inner bits. And when I leave it in longer to toast the inner bits, the crust burns!

If you like your toast burnt or soft this is the right one to buy. Even on the first setting the bread does not toast properly it remains soft and higher than 1 it burns
