Chops well, but all pieces being chopped need to be about the same size. In making Cranberry relish with oranges and apples as well as Cranberries some apple pieces did not chop as small as desired, when I tried to chop finer the cranberries got mushy.
Unit seems well built, do not have any problems with the operation. Somewhat noisier than I would like.
