I purchased this unit to replace a 35 year old economy toaster. The difference between the two units is the new one can easily be adjusted to fit anyone’s preferences. It’s sleek works impeccably well and I’m highly satisfied
I am usually very happy with Cuisinart products. However, this toaster does not only perform well. It is also very flimsy. I’ve had a for less than a month and I’ve already purchased a new toaster.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great toaster! I love the sleek digital touch settings! It has worked well since the beginning so I have no complaints. I love the various compliments, like being able to look at your food without stopping the process. Once you use it a couple of times you will be a pro. The popup could be less loud!
While the toaster is relatively new to us and we still discovering how to use the controls, we are pleased with the desgree of control provided and the consistency of performance.
This toaster was purchased to replace a Krups unit (which we eventually went back to). The Cuisinart unit doesn't toast evenly (top to bottom or front to back)... once the bagel feature was enabled, the toaster would only toast one-side of each slice fairly well. The bottom always toasted well but, unevenly with the top of the slice. Also, it's not as deep as we'd like (although it does accept a wide bagel).
This was a product not up to Cuisinart’s standards. The mechanism felt cheap and the toaster stopped toasting both sides of the bread within two eeeks. I returned to the store.
