This machine makes good coffee. But... filling it with water is not easy. The lid does not fold back enough for one to completely empty the carafe. Also, you have to put the top back on the carafe or you will make a watery mess when trying to fill the coffee maker.

Pros are that it makes good coffee and basic touch-screen operation is simple. Also, carafe and filter basket are interchangeable with my previous model. The only cons for me are that auto-start is cumbersome, and you cannot activate the cleaning cycle until the cleaning light comes on. With my old machine, I could activate the cycle at any time. Otherwise, I am happy with the machine.

Have used cuisines for years. One con that I always felt was that the water holder cover doesn’t flip back far enough to pour all your water from the pot into it. And on this specific 14 cup model that I have it has a major knocking noise when brewing. I may try to exchange for another one and hope I don’t have the same issue. Otherwise it’s a great product and I would definitely purchase again.

Makes an excellent cup of coffee. I make coffee each morning for just myself so the 1-4 cup function and the bold settings insure I get perfect bold flavored cups of coffee while using far less grounds of coffee.
