love it

I have owned this coffee maker for about 18 months now and am extremely pleased with it. It makes a pot of coffee more quickly than any other machine I've ever owned. It has a feature that tells you how long it has been since the pot was brewed but the thermal carafe keeps it hot for a long time (to be fair, we usually finish the pot before it could ever get cold, lol). It does take up more counter space than other models I've had but it's an elegant looking machine and matches my Wolf appliances so that's a nice bonus from a design standpoint.

Best Drip Coffee maker

Have being using this coffee maker daily for one month. The design eliminated all the hassles and problems we had with our other brand machine. Love the water container is easily removal and well marked for filing. Coffee filter drawer well designed and automatically is in the correct position. The coffee filler tray has a handle for easy removal and makes emptying easy. Coffee pot has a large opening for cleaning. The pot always sits in the proper location insuring the coffee goes into the pot with no chance of spilling or making a mess. To keep the coffee hot for several hours we preheat the pot with hot water inside for about one minute. Once the coffee is ready we place the pot on a silicone cloth pad and cover it with a coffee pot cosy over it. Coffee tastes great and built in scale allows for consistent coffee grinds weight to number of cups water and strength wanted or just use the basic manual spoon measurement. Money money then originally planned to spend but no regrets. Would definitely buy again.

It seems crazy but it's worth the price

Wanted a carafe coffee maker and did lots of research, ended up on this one over the technivorm due to quality reported in reviews. The price was higher but had all the features you could want and now about a month and am so glad I got it. Very well built, one place said USA made and another China so not sure but very solid.
Carafe keeps very hot 2 hours and then pretty warm another 2. Scale built into basket is handy, from the espresso world I thought it was an actual coffee scale but it just tells you to add a certain amount based on brew strength, it's handy but doesn't give you a grams readout. Removeable water reservoir easy to use.
I like products that have actual thought put into them, this is one of those, a designer who drinks coffee had input and made the perfect coffee machine.

I have a new love……

I have always had high end coffee makers. Quality pays off. This coffee maker is SOLID and performs! I did not find it complicated at all to use- just read the instructions before you start. I made a pot of coffee at 2am (I know, crazy right?). At 6:30am it was still fresh and hot. The insulated pot is great. A tip I did read was to run hot water through your carafe before making the coffee, to help keep coffee hot. I also am keeping notes of brands of coffee, how much water, and how much coffee grounds. I am needing less coffee grounds, as this beast is efficient. Spend the money! Worth every penny.

Great Coffee But a Few Tiny "Hmmmmms"
on December 27, 2022

Alright let's get the main selling point out of the way. Yes... it makes great coffee as everyone has said. It's also easy to use. So if simple, great hot coffee is all you need. You can stop reading. LOL.
Now for a few nibbles I have after Day 2 of ownership.
1. The Carafe (steel pot) - (machine has no warming burner btw).
Do not expect, even just after brewing, that the coffee from this machine will be "sip to see if it's too hot". It's temperature is easily drinkable right after brewing, yes hot, but certainly not so that you will ever need to sip to check... even your grandmother. So... if you like your freshly brewed coffee to be piping hot... even like the crap they serve at Tim Hortons (LOL). Not gonna happen. Now.. some would argue that is a good thing, but I would counter by saying... if that's tru-ism... then why does the Wolf instruction booklet suggest you fill the carafe with hot water to heat it prior to brewing so the coffee is a bit hotter out of the gate? And remember there's no warming burner on this machine so that first cup is as hot as it ever will get, and refills will be less no matter the insulated steel carafe. And filling that carafe with hot water over the span of a year of coffee brewing??? That could add up on the water bill. LOL. Maybe.... Wolf could just add a warming burner to the machine? I dunno.
Also with the carafe... the pouring spout is a wee bit small and shallow. OKay.. this is really maybe overly picky BUT..... if you're pouring 8 cups of coffee for guests.... you might see a few rolling fingers across the counter top for anyone whose cup is #6, 7, or 8. And removing the lid doesn't make the coffee pour any faster. Would have preferred a spout design that doesn't have me starring down at my cup at 6am with sleepy eyes, pre-shower in my pyjamas when i have to catch a bus to work in 30 minutes..... and it's -20. Just a thought... as picky as it is.
2. Brew ready "chime"
Unless you have the ears of cat or are 8 feet or closer.... you are not likely to hear this machine's "brew ready" short quiet chime. So if you brew coffee then go into the living room 15 feet away and expect to hear the chime when coffee is ready... not going to happen.. at least it doesn't with ours. And I can't find a way to audio-up the very quiet little chime (if it's even possible) but all I know is that my old $60 Canadian Tire coffee maker had a pleasant little chime I could hear from the next room easily.. even in the basement. Up your game, Wolf. Come on.... I'm not buying a hearing aids every time I brew coffee while watching TV 15 feet away.... but then again... I thought I'd have to pre-heat the coffee carafe to make the brewed coffee hotter so who knows... maybe I will visit the Dr Ho and see if sells hearing aids. LOL ;)
Over all... the coffee maker's primary function (making a great cup of coffee) has it exceeding quite well... but a few little things that even cheap coffee makers have no problem excelling at easily for the last 50 years.... aren't as well delivered on this expensive machine. Admittedly... it's only THREE things... but when those three things are "no brainers" on machines 1/10th the cost for the last 50 years of coffee makers... it kinda makes one go "Hmmmmmm". But maybe that's just me.

I’ve owned this Wolf Gourmet Coffee Maker for 3 Years. I’ve had percolators and many drip makers including 3 Bunn drip makers and even 1 semi commercial Bunn the A10. They all make good coffee and they all threw the pot quickly too. I also have a new Beville at the lake so these can be compared. But they don’t compare! Once you get your routine down and do not deviate from it, the Wolf will throw 8 perfect pots out of ten. I mean just exquisite tasting coffee - the kind where you empty the pot and try to wring out the carafe, kind of exquisite. Every now and then, and you never know when, you get a pot like that from the Breville but to be fair I’m no where near as practiced on the one at the lake.
I don’t think coffee beans or even water for that matter is 100% consistent which may explain the 2 out of ten pots that are more average.
So yes it’s expensive for a drip maker (not near as much as a cappuccino machine) about three times the cost of the Breville, but I start every day now looking forward to my first few cups of coffee. I even anticipate those delicious first sips at night as I lay me down to sleep!
You can decide if it’s worth it. I sure think it is!
I’m not sure why there’s a water filter but maybe someone can explain? It might be the difference between the Wolf and the Beville I just don’t know? And I don’t like the results I get from the ‘Accubrew’ setting! Not sure why but I tastes too strong to me?
I think the biggest reason for the consistent outcome is the precise weigh-scale on the coffee basket. You don’t have to eye-ball or guess how much to put in.
So I give this coffee maker not just a recommendation, but a near favourite possession status. Really very impressive.
