I've only had it for a couple of weeks so I can't really say if it's great or not. The material does seem a little thin but overall it's been good with all of my school supplies that I need. I fit my laptop, textbook, two notebooks, and binder in it. The second biggest pocket will only fit my pencil bad by that point. Although I've always been a fan of pockets, I feel like it's so much harder to lose track of where to put everything. I love the straps since it goes not only on my shoulders but across my upper back/neck so it's much better support.
Pros: Easy To Carry, Easy To Identify, Good Capacity
Cons: Thin material

This is a great quality backpack, however it has no room! I bought this for my Freshman in High School and my Middle School daughter and neither of them can fit anything in it! The main pouch can just about fit my daughters 2-1" binders, a soft covered library book and a 1 subject notebook. If she has any school books to bring home for homework she has to just carry them as what I just listed is the max that we can stuff in. The middle pouch only zips halfway down and is designed to hold what looks like a single magazine? However we do manage to wrestle her lunch bag in only after emptying the main section out first. Then we re-fill it and wrestle the zipper closed, all the while praying to the zipper gods that today won't be the day it breaks! The front organizational pouch again only zips part way making it very hard to use and retrieve anything out of. Great bag if you don't have much to carry around.. if you are looking for room, go for a different style.
Pros: Good Padding
Cons: Small Capacity
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this backpack 5 years ago, and it is just now starting to fail. The bag is still staying together and can be used, it is just dirty and the zipper pull has fallen off. I used this backpack to use for school and it has held up under heavy books and everyday use. I also have taken it to summer camps and camping trips. Perfect for airplanes as it has a ton of storage space and many pockets for cables and entertainment options. I am now going to purchase another one to replace the old and dirty one.

I use this as my school bag and it is beyond perfect. I have had one for almost 2 years and it is only just now starting to break. It is really good quality with lots of pockets to carry everything in. The reason I am getting a new one is because one of the straps is starting to break. I put too many books in it and carried over one shoulder a lot (I know not healthy) I will be sure not to do it with this one.

This is the perfect backpack for my ten year old! It's an upgrade from his HS fat boy which he also loved. After wear and tear, it still looks great. The seams, zippers, straps, etc are all sturdy and well made. He loves the shoulder straps and how it feels even when it's full of books. The water bottle pocket on both sides is perfect for a little guy who takes water bottles everywhere. We love it! I purchased the same one for my neice last year and she loves it too.
