I bought a wood, wall mount hood for our kitchen. Right out of the box, it appeared to have been mounted/or used before. The wood was damaged and lines and angles did not line up as per professional wood work. I didn't mail it back to Z Line as I'm a painter and carpenters, fixed it myself. The fan works mechanically, no issues there....

We apologize for the lack of lighting in your hood. We provide 2-4 directional LED's depending on the hood. If they are dim, we could replace the light parts to make them brighter.

I just installed the vent in a new kitchen renovation and I (and more importantly, my wife) am very happy with it. The quality is excellent for the price; as good as one costing three times the amount. I would buy it again. One suggestion: On the website, there needs to be a notation of where the electric outlet should be placed to plug in the hood. This, of course, needs to be placed well before the hood is installed. It could be that I missed it but I added an outlet the ended up behind the hood so modifications were required. Even so, I'd still recommend the unit to anyone needing a great vent hood.

Easy install love the 4 speed Moyer and air flow option. Do like the plastic vent when the instructuction indicate aluminum would or should be better. Deciding on hood height and the need for the amount of stainless steel to cover vent pipe is a critical measurement for DYI folks to pay attention.
