Great laptop for school and gaming

Great little gaming laptop. Well built, light and super fast. Comes with everything you will need 120Hz 1080 display, nice colors and bright, Ryzen 7, GTX 1660Ti with good thermals 16Gb RAM and 512Gb SSD, USB-C with PD and DP and Wifi6. Cons: Does not have a webcam or Ethernet port, some ghosting while gaming. Overall great value if you can get it on sale ..Love it!

Like everything so far. Done with Dell. Am used to 15s and 17s, so this is definitely a change, easier for travel. Fast and Quality unit. Great Battery. Great screen stats for photo software

Little tweak required but amazing device

Had to change some of the battery settings for the device which information was available online. After that laptop didn’t exceed comfortable temperature and performed exceptionally!

Xbox game pass!

Laptop's nice, fan's not actually that loud. Wish there was an obvious way to redeem Xbox game pass aside from the popup when first booting the laptop. I can't find it and can't figure out another way.

I have been waiting SOOOO long for a laptop to weigh less than ~1.6, 1.7kg, AND have a GPU. I found myself with the 3 best choices: the new Razor, the Microsoft surface book 2 (the detachable one), and this beautiful G14.
However, based on the price range and my budget, and the fact that G14 had everything that the other ones had (It only did not have the webcam and was not detachable which was not really important to me), I decided to go with it.
To be honest, I really like the design. It really is compact and super portable. I love typing on the keyboard.
However, there are three things that really bother me.
1)Even in the silent mode (whether plugged in or not), it is making WAAAAY too much noise and fans are killing themselves really.
2) The temperature!!! I swear I felt the burn on my fingers some times (it does not happen often), BUT the weird thing is that I was not using GPU or playing heavy games or anything! I was just watching youtube and my laptop was plugged in. The top right corner gets near 160F I guess! It really bothers me some times.
3)Another thing is the
battery life is also not as good as it is supposed to be. Even though I was not in performance mode, I was not using the GPU, and no heavy stuff (I was basically web surfing and reading papers), it could not hold more than 5hours at best. This is not what I expected really.

Overally, I am satisfied with it compared to the price and the fact that it HAS GPU and it is lightweight. I really have no better option now and my previous laptop was like trash. But I have my own concerns too.

Very good BUT

This is overall a amazing laptop. It has a very compact design which makes it so you can carry it around and it is very fast while gaming. However, The laptop has very very noisy fans and when playing games it is like a microwave. Also has some software glitches.

Incredible machine, full metal body and powerful

Don't let this small full metal body laptop fool you, it plays almost every game I threw at it on ultra setting. The 120hz screen is rich in colors with deep black, 1080p is just right for this screen size. At this price point with theses specs and built quality its true value for your money especially when you can find it on sale.
I would recommend this to a friend!
