Bought this for the regulated 12 volt power to use with my portable satellite phone setup. The other ports are a bonus. Works great so far keeping me in touch in remote areas. I'm able to charge this with my 100 watt briefcase solar.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Perfect for Small Stuff!

I recently purchased the Yeti 200x after dealing with the 2019 California wildfire/PG&E power outages.
So far, I love it (the Yeti, not PG&E). Having it in our apartment gives me peace of mind that we'll still be able to contact friends and family in case of an outage lasting longer than a few hours/days, and it has ports for all of our devices. We also got the car charger, so we can take it on our longer car camping trips for when we're away from the vehicle for a few days.
I would definitely recommend something larger if you are planning for more California blackouts like us, but expect to need to run your refrigerator or something like that. For a couple in a studio though, this is the perfect fit.

Teardrop Power Source

I have had the Yeti 200X for several months in anticipation for use in the teardrop trailer I have built. While waiting for the intended purpose, we have used it multiple times to charge phones and laptops just to see how well it works. Absolutely no complaints. While we started out charging it through the AC cord included in the box, I have recently paired it with a Boulder 50. I have charged it with the solar panel ever since. At home I can leave the Boulder 50 in the backyard with the extra-long cable attached to the Yeti 200X under the patio cover. (Be warned - the solar panel frame can get hot in the direct sunlight!) But it charges the power station within a few hours (from 40% existing power). I also leave the panel in the bed of my truck and feed the cord into the cab to charge the battery. During this time the power station has been running reading lights, the overhead light and a roof fan in the cabin while finishing the interior construction. It also powers an overhead light in the galley. I have connections to hook up the Yeti 200X in both the interior cabin and the galley. Either connection powers the entire trailer. We had our first "test" outing over the weekend and it worked exactly as planned. We look forward to many trips with this as our power source for our needs - lights, fan, phone-laptop-camera charging and running the fan for assisted ventilation.
I purchased the Yeti 200X power station to provide back up power for our WiFi and our security camera base station. It seems to be well-suited for this application & provides continuous power for these devices for several hours. I recently had the chance for a two day canoe trip and decided to take the power station along to charge my phone and laptop (we were watching downloaded movies at night). It wasn't too bulky for canoe camping. About the only complaint I have is that the fan noise seems to vary quite a bit when it kicks on (only when a significant load is placed on the power station). I don't know if this is just the unit adapting to the heavy load (60 watt laptop charger) or if I have a bearing problem with the fan. Anyway, the noise always stabilizes within a minute after starting and the device does what it is supposed to do. I think I can get about 2.5 full charges of my MacBook Pro 13" 2020 - maybe more if I go straight from the high power USB C port directly to my laptop (I was using the 120v outlet and Apple wall-charger when camping). Based on our experience in cold weather (around 30-40F) I think I could have gotten 3 or 4 evenings of use out of our laptop (~2 hours per night).

DOA- Unit Dead On Arrival

Hey bought one of these on sale had a few bad reviews of the units not operating out of the box. Caught it on sale so I decided to take the risk. Unit came completely drained, and. Wouldn’t take a charge. Indicator show that it was receiving power from the wall charge but after several hours still at zero percent. Sent an email to customer service hopefully they will be quick and helpful as I’m still in the 30 day period and warranty but will update this based on that process.

Hello,
We are sorry your unit arrived DOA. We do our best to make sure these units ship with at least 60-80% charge. Please reach out to our support team for further assistance if the unit is not taking a charge. Thank you. support@goalzero.com (888) 794-6250
We use this for charging phones, tablets, lights, and Nintendo Switches while camping. Alone we can usually get everything charged for a day. But with the Nomad 50 we never worry about anything going dead. I also love how light the battery is. It’s easy to take around camp and even into our truck bed to sleep at night.
I like the Yeti 200 a lot. I bought it for use when we go camping in our camper van and have a Nomad 50 for remote charging. We only use the Yeti for our tablets, phones, Lighthouse 600, usb fan, and led string lights. We typically travel for 2 night getaways and haven’t needed to use the Nomad very often. Also, I use the Yeti 200 when I’m gardening or doing home repairs outside listening to podcasts and music for hours at a time, when use of an extension cord is not feasible. I think it’s a great invention!
