I like this freezer twice as much as I thought I would. I had been considering this purchase for more than a year and the pandemic (so I could keep more food on hand) pushed me into purchasing the Danby 5.9 cu.ft. upright freezer. My second reason was it would give me peace of mind if my refrig/freezer failed or needed repair. I do love how visible the food is because of the shelves. This unit has fixed shelves which may limit the size of the items that will fit but a 14 lb.turkey did fit on a shelf. I am a little concerned with the two plastic drawers that could possibly fall if pulled out too far. I am careful because I don't know how easily they would break. The quality is very good and was undamaged. This is my first freezer purchase. I thought it was a great value and would definitely recommend this freezer to any one who needed extra freezer space.
