Everything I hoped it would be

After one week everything is working as it should. It is very quiet and fast. My games run smoothly and look great though I don't have any that would really push this rig to its limits. Video editing tasks run much faster than on my old i5 with a GTX660 video card. As other reviewers have noted you can't use a DVI monitor connection (even though there's a port) but the HDMI connection works great. Windows 10 only takes up a fraction of the SSD so there's lots of room left for other programs.
So far everything is super. Highly recommended.

Low Quality Parts
on April 19, 2021

from Toronto
The components of this pc are clearly meant to last only up to the covered warranty date. I took apart this pc (it was a gift) and was shocked at the parts. I ended up salvaging some parts for another build.
Firstly, this pc is extremely difficult to physically take apart. Upgrading any components yourself in the future would be challenging and horrendous for any beginner. If you were planning to get into pc building and finding a starter prebuilt to upgrade later down the line, this is NOT that pc.
I'll detail the parts in specific now:
Case: You can only fit one rear fan (the case design prevents any front or top fans. Air comes through the front naturally and leaves through the back with rear fan, no mesh so the inside becomes a dust chamber).

Motherboard: Asus b450m-k or some variant of this (Bestbuy and Asus provided no details to the specific board, I had to take it apart to find this information on the board, still can't fully confirm this, but I am about 90% sure). Only one fan header so you would definitely need a splitter for multiple fans, but again, there's only room for one rear fan anyways. Overall, not a terrible board, but weak considering the cpu and gpu, and it is a older board with only 2 rams slots.
CPU: Ryzen 3700x which is still a good cpu, however the CPU cooler is a 50mm cheap cooler that is of the lowest quality (the worst cooler you can imagine, and it is trying to cool a 3700x). The temperatures were well above 50 degrees even at resting, 80-90 gaming.
Ram: Don't be fooled by the 16gb of ram, this is a single stick of 16gb, 3200mhz ram which will run as a single channel (so 1600mhz), from a lower end brand (no pretty ram sticks, but not terrible). Very disappointing that bestbuy doesn't disclose this as a single stick, but is advertising 3200mhz. Very misleading. I did experience a few memory performance issues occasionally with chrome.
GPU: RTX 2070 Super, which is still a good GPU (though it may soon not be as worth it), but I want to point out that this specific one is a blower-style card so it will be louder (this style is typically cheaper but not necessarily worse). This is not an open aired GPU.
Power Supply: 500w non-modular from a unknown China brand, speaks for itself. I found that the power supply was also quite loose.
Storage: As advertised.
The biggest red flag is the cooling. There is simply no way that a cheap 50mm air cooler is going to properly cool a 3700x with one small rear fan. This thing is going to heat up. You cannot add any additional fans due to only one fan header unless you add a splitter. The case design also prevents this and there will be a lot dust getting collected. Can foresee performance related issues down the line from this.
From looking at this list of parts, you can see that the parts really aren't that great. Apart from the cpu, you really are only getting at best B-grade parts (the cpu cooler and rear fan are F-grade). So if you're looking at this product for value, it simply is not worth this price.
If you're someone who will never build a computer and is looking for a prebuilt, this may appeal to you, but this pc is not promising. I do hope that Asus works to build better prebuilts in the future.
This product was clearly made to only maximize profit margins by advertising the above average cpu and gpu while using bad parts for the rest of the pc.

Great Pre-Built PC!

This pc will run most games 1440p smoothly. I first plugged it into a 4K Qled tv in game mode. The results were not very satisfying. The mouse curser was floaty and there was noticeable judder despite having over 60 fps. After enabling vsync on the Nvidia software. This was mostly improved. Then I switched to an old monitor I bought about 12 years ago. It was only 1600x1050 resolution but, instantly, in addition to way higher frame rates, I had no issues at all. I decided to upgrade to a gsync compatible 1440p monitor and the transition was excellent. I am not using a frame counter but games seem to auto-set to 1440p ultra and I still get smooth gameplay, I am guessing over 60fps. New games may have to have settings lowered from ultra to maintain 60+ FPS or of course if you want e-sports running at 144hz or more. Coming from Xbox One X and PS4 pro, this has been a very noticeable upgrade. The system boots quickly, multitasks well and plays games very well. The case is great looking but, at 1440p or 4K the system gets very loud from the fans. I would recommend this pc (so far) after 12 days

Excellent computer with a few issues.

Pros: Fast, fans reasonably quiet, 2070S video card (yeah). Lots of storage space.
Cons:
1. Windows build 1906 (august 2019) will not update to current build 2004 - all you will get is currently working on it from Microsoft..it'll happen when it happens (been nearly a year). I would recommend a clean reinstall of windows if you know how.
2. We got this computer to use primarily for graphics, about a third of the time it will not open up the image and throws up a error message (attempted numerous recommended repairs). Might be a windows issue (SEE ABOVE) or could be bad sectors on the HD - regrettably it's going back.
Summary: I would highly recommend this computer just for it's speed and the hardware installed with it..sweet. I would also encourage one to reinstall a more recent version of windows.

Best PC I've ever owned
on July 29, 2020

This is by far the best computer I've ever owned. It can run new games on ultra settings at high fps. Really good for the price in my opinion since it has an RTX 2070 super. I wanted an Intel processor again but the AMD one in this PC is still really good. Overall I have been really happy with it.
