Great dry bag, not great backpack
on July 28, 2022

Love Klymit gear overall. Always well thought out and hugh quality. The Splash 25 does what it says...keeps gear dry. It's my first waterproof bag so maybe they're all similar, but actually using the bag was fairly difficult. The opening, and bag overall, is narrow and has zero stretch, so getting things in and out is tricky. And if you need anything in the bottom of the bag....everything is coming out. Won't use it again as my primary pack but will definitely use it as a dry bag for stuff thats only going in and out once.

Unfortunately the shoulder strap connection point broke within 2 weeks of receiving and using this item only for what it's intended for.

Canoeing in the Wind Rivers
on November 8, 2021

My son and I set of for a 3 day 2 night canoeing trip up the Green River Lakes in the northern Wind Rivers Range in Wyoming. We paddled, splashed and even tipped over, thank goodness it was shallow water, but our gear stayed dry throughout the entire trip. This is why we got the Splash 25 and it lived up to what we needed. Having the shoulder straps was a real bonus especially when we had to do a bit of portaging. I have zero issues with the Splash 25 and would feel real confident taking them with us on our next water adventure!

Big!

It's a big bag, appears of good quality. Large roll-top. Have not used it yet in water environment. Probably much too big for a day trip, would be useful for an overnight or 2-to-3-night trip.

It's a good bag. Took

It's a good bag. Took it canyoneering in a few wet canyons and it kept the water out. Very durable and held up well against the sandstone canyon walls. It seems much bigger than a 25 liter bag and holds lots of stuff.
A few things I didn't love: the shoulder straps aren't the most comfortable. After a full day, the front of my shoulders were a bit uncomfortable. As I mentioned above, it's a big bag. If what you need is at the bottom of the bag, you're in for a hunt.

Not for canyoneering!
on March 21, 2021

I got this bag for canyoneering in Utah and it did not hold up to two half-day canyons. The bottom wore/tore through in the second canyon, and the the AirFrame stopped holding air and water bottle pocket wore through in the first canyon. These are sandstone canyons, so gear is subject to a lot of abrasion, but I expected it to last longer than just two short canyons - my daughter's cheap nylon Eddie Bauer pack did better. Also, the waist belt was not easy to adjust and did not lock in place, so I found myself constantly adjusting it. I love my Klymit sleeping pad, but this pack was a bust.

Awesome product

This pack worked great for paddle boarding at the lake all day. It worked well for a hike down into a creek to explore the water and some hot springs. My minor complaint is that the pack did get a bit hot against my back. First world problems.. I highly recommend this pack. The waterproofing is amazing.

Efficient, Lightweight, Good Quality

I tell all my friends about this bag. Used it on a back country river camping trip and it was the most useful pack that we had. The inflatable back works really well if you do not overfill the pack. The dry bag material is very tough and it was tossed around in gravel a lot. My friends are buying this soon.
