X Pillow

Well I'm 6'2" 230lbs and sleep on my side and back. This pillow was not thick enough to allow my head proper angle. Also laying on my Klymit pad it would not stay still. I wrapped it with my coat to keep in place, and by this time I didn't know the pillow was even there. Will suggest the bigger one and a bit of texture. You may find this a great product, it is what it is, just wanted to leave a real usage review.

Hello! Thank you for your feedback. Inflatable pillows take some time to get used to. They are typically used by backpackers as a lightweight and small packability option. We're sorry that the X Pillow did not meet your expectations. If you are within 30 days of purchase, you can return the item for a refund. You can also email us at support@klymit.com with any questions or concerns.

If you need an ultralight packable Pillow option, these are great. For everyone else here are the Pros and Cons
Pros: Light Weight, Packable Pillows
Cons: They loose air overtime just like an air mattress. They are small and aren't that comfortable. My wife refuses to use hers. She'd rather use a sweatshirt. They are noisy when you are moving around. One of mine leaked air after one use.
If we were ultra light backpacking then sure, these would be perfect but at this point I'm willing to sacrifice some packability for some more comfort and try the klymit drift pillows instead.

pretty comfy

This pillow gets the job done. I've used it both for car camping (in my car) and cowboy camping. I'm a side sleeper and it cradled my ear/head nicely.

Great head support, works well for side-sleepers. First camping pillow I've used that works and doesn't take up half your pack.

Not bad, not really that good

I have had this pillow for about a year now and I has been just good enough for me not to get rid of it and just bad enough for me to want to.
I use this pillow with my Therm-a-rest Neo Air and other various quilts and bags.
My first complaint is that it is square and doesn't fit into the hood of sleeping bags well. I have since switched to quilts so this is less of an issue now.
Second complaint is the material and the overall design. The material isn't bad but gets a little sweaty if you're a warm sleeper like myself. The design has some limitations as all of the chambers are connected so if you move one direction all of the air gets pushed into another chamber and is no longer supportive. If you don't move in your sleep whatsoever then this wouldn't be an issue for you and could be an awesome piece of gear.
It has been durable and the valve works as intended so it has that going for it.
Overall if you use sleeping bags with hoods I would look elsewhere for a pillow. Even if you use quilts I would still look at something with a little more support like the Air Head from Therm-a-rest, it's not that much more expensive and I would say a better value.

Small, light and comfy. Only wish I would have bought the large model.

Super light but a little delicate
on September 29, 2021

I have had this pillow for a few years and it is super light and easy to pack but I have has a few holes.
The pillow packs down to almost nothing which is amazing, once it is inflated it is a good size and does its job. same as most of these pillows, you have to wrap a t-shirt or something around it so it doesn't slip off the mat during the night.
the pillow is a little delicate. I have had 2 holes in the pillow since owning it, nothing major, just pinholes that I had to fix with some super glue but, if I were out on a multi-day trip and the holed had happened it might have been inconvenient. also, it is slippery when placed on **my** ThermaRest and it would be great to see some sort of strap or band added to it so that you can affix it to the mat.
Overall, I would recommend it, it serves its purpose, however, if you were on a multi-day trip it might be worthwhile to bring along a small tube of superglue just in case you get a puncture.
