i've used many pads over the years from diff brands, many much more expensive than this one....however, this is the one i used for most bikepacking and backpacking adventures

Great air pad!

I have had a Klymit Static V Recon pad for close to 10 years and the valve started having issues. I didn't want to chance it failing in the back country so purchased a new one. The valve is a great improvement on the new one from the previous design. I have tried other air pads but they can't beat this one for comfort or the price.

Leaky Valve

The flip valve on this pad leaks. I have been sent another pad to replace the old leaky valve, and it leaked after one trip. Sleeping on the cold ground sucks. Get a pad without a flip valve. When it does actually hold air, it is very comfortable.

Valve is leaking after 5 nights of use!

I started the Arizona Trail and by the 4/5 night my pad was leaking air from the valve. I confirmed this after I got to town and was able to dunk the pad. Big bummer. The pad was feeling great when it was working and it was very comfortable. I looked on Klymit’s website and they did have replacement parts either. Bigger bummer.

I use these under my hammock in the spring, summer and fall. holds up well and fills up easily. packs away quickly.

Light, Compact, Comfortable

There's a reason this pad is so popular: it works. I've used it for about a month of sleeping on the ground in a variety of environments, and it's been comfortable in every one. It rolls up small, inflates and deflates easily, and adds very little weight in my pack.
