I wondered if the headlamp 200 would be bright enough for walking my dog out in the dark rainy streets of Victoria BC this winter. It is! Much brighter than the flashlight I used to carry, with a much steadier, more reliable light. This is the perfect solution to leaving my hands free for the other business associated with dog walks! I love that its rechargeable. It's incredibly light and well balanced, and the reflective strip on the back of the strap is a nice bonus. The ability of the light to be angled down means I'm not blinding my fellow dog walkers. When I bought this as a Christmas gift, I'm so glad I decided to buy one for myself as well!

I am a pilot, I have this headlamp in my flight bag. I never have to worry that the batteries will be dead when I need it most, and it is very lightweight and comfortable, which is essential when flying. I love that you can go directly to red without having to cycle through white light, saving my night vision on the flight deck. I bought one as a gift for my CFII and kept one for myself. I plan to gift them to other pilots, too. Highly recommend!

I love how this easily fits my head, is lightweight and very bright. I use it for early morning runs and it helps me see tremendously. I do not notice any bounce on my head and the light goes far. I do feel like I blind the people coming toward me, but it’s fine with me!!

It's almost great, but...

I have many BioLite products and keep coming back for more. I had given my old Petzl (2 AA batts) to one of my grandsons as he started camping and 'forgot' how useful a headlamp is. A really like all of the features of the HeadLamp 200 except for the on/off/function button. After the lamp arrived yesterday I wore it around the house all evening. Comfy, great light brightness range, solid and stable while moving. And I will use the red light feature to pre-flight the airplane without diminishing my night vision. The pesky switch was so hard to function I occasionally had to take the headlamp off and use both hands to change functions. Other than the button this lamp is a 5.
