Compact workhorse

Powerful enough to get serious work done, and compact enough to carry around everywhere. With the HP Thunderbolt dock, I can connect to power, ethernet, keyboard, mouse, printer, smartphone, headphones, an external 4K UHD monitor, and an external FHD monitor -- all with a single cable!
The variety of ports (HDMI, USB type-A, USB type-C with Thunderbolt 3, and 3.5mm combo audio jack) allows me to connect to peripherals on the go without dongles or adapters. Furthermore, the universal USB PD-capable ports allow me to use any USB PD-capable charger, not just the one supplied with the laptop. Super convenient!
The USB type-C rechargeable pen attaches magnetically to the lid and to the trackpad area, so the pen can be easily carried, when the laptop is closed and when the laptop is open in the tablet mode.
The publicly available maintenance manual has allowed me to safely open the laptop to swap out the modular SSD for different capacities and speeds. The m.2 SSD slot accepts either an SATA or an NVMe SSD, which gives me the flexibility of choosing the performance and price point that I want.
Another plus is that the firmware provides a lot of tweakable options, so I can make my laptop behave exactly the way I want.
The one nitpick I have is that the keyboard palm rest is a bit short in depth, so that my palms rest on the edge rather than on the flat surface. It isn't as comfortable as my other larger laptops.

Shipped promptly and has been a delight to use. Its surprisingly lightweight but strong. The hinges are very well built as using the touch screen doesn't cause the entire monitor/ lid to wobble.
