[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In general it works fine. Experienced couple of times cannot turn off the machine and the screen remained black.
The IdeaPad Slim 7 14" is a nicely designed and built laptop which operates well. But I was't happy with the display unit and graphics card. Even though it is rated for 300 nits, the deepness of color and possible adjustability is just not there. White is too white and adjustment not possible unless you tweak with night mode. Furthermore the audio even at max is not very loud. The sound quality is acceptable but certainly not outstanding. I give this laptop a 3.5 stars.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought two of these laptops - one for home use and one for a programmer I had just hired (I'm a small business).
The one for the programmer crashed multiple times and we ended up sending it back. It got to a point where he couldn't even turn it on.
The one we use at home is still working great. It's a bit smaller then I like and I'm not sure I would do a fabric covering again but the actual functioning of the laptop is very good. Boots up quickly and does what we need.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Personal use with some casual gaming - so far so good. The built and finish of this laptop is pretty solid and great. Adequate ports are nice to have and supports my needs. Display colour is pretty good but one small complaint would be the glare on the screen however I'm using it indoor mostly so doesn't bother me that much.
Note: had issues with the first device but was able to get a replacement and Lenovo response was quick and the process went smoothly.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the IdeaPad to replace an aging ThinkPad I have been using for robotics. The new laptop is considerably smaller and lighter, has a better keyboard and a brilliant screen- but makes certain concessions. There are only two standard USB ports. I have had to add a USB hub to provide enough ports for the work I do. The facial recognition device is gimmicky (as was the fingerprint sensor on the Yoga laptop). The simple On/Off button and login on the old ThinkPad was more reliable. Otherwise I am quite satisfied with the new IdeaPad laptop.
