My rating reflects following issues I have faced since i purchased this system
- Even though it is a touchscreen 2-in-1 laptop, stylus is not included in the package. You have to spend another 80 bucks to get it, even though all ads show it with a stylus.
- Touchpad has given me some issues. sometimes mouse freezer even though keyboard was working fine at that time.

Love this laptop. The battery holds a 7-8 hour charge. I usually use it for youtube and some photoshop/ lightroom editing. Love the IPS screen. Wide viewing angel and accurate colour right out of the box. Silent and never gets hot.
When I first got it, the fan would rarely came on, usually only when I was updating/ doing super heavy workload. After I did a AMD GPU driver update, the fan kick in more often. Was annoyed, but after I set it to power-saving mode (I still turned up the brightness), it was back to silence. I can stick my ear next to the fan and still can't hear anything - awesome! If you're looking for a lightweight, portable, quiet, and work capable laptop this is perfect.

Issue with keys falling off

Very disappointed with the build quality of this laptop. I know this is on the lower end of the range of Lenovo laptops, but after only 3 months of ownership, the keys started falling off the laptop. After 6 months, two keys have falling off and the hinges attaching them have broke and won't snap back in. Laptops are meant to be used everyday, so a keyboard should be built to take everyday usage. The Lenovo warranty does not cover physical damage. I've owned laptops for 15 years and have never seen keys fall off in this manner.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If you are looking for a laptop which is middle of the road with all the latest features packed in, you can't find a better one than this. I spent a week researching all available laptops in this price range, and the IdeaPad Flex 5 is head and shoulders above the rest. The closest anyone came to this one was a Dell, but the build quality of this one is much better. Another highlight is the AMD processor. While cheaper than intel, it is much faster and imho grossly underrated.
If you are looking for something in the ~700 range, go for it - you won't be disappointed.

The laptop performs great for those general use, and the AMD processor is really powerful for its price. The build quality is also great, and my parents really liked its lightweight, screen resolution, 2-in-1 feature, and battery life. Overall, this is a great family or student laptop for general use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Snappy laptop for schoolwork and taking notes, as well as light gaming (stardew valley, minecraft). The 8gb ryzen 3 5300u struggles to play valorant, which was a little disappointing but could be fixed with a ram upgrade.
The CPU sips power so and the battery life is long enough to comfortably get through a day of work. Keyboard is fantastic, very clicky which I like. The trackpad could be smoother, and it has a small amount of rattle, but that's not a huge issue to me. The screen is bright and colour accurate enough for watching videos and playing games, the speakers are a little tinny but they're front-firing which instantly makes them leagues better than most laptops in this price range. The fingerprint reader makes logging in very fast and easy. My only gripe with the laptop is the hinge not being a little bit stiffer - it would be easier to draw and write if the display didn't wobble as much as it does. But, I just prop a book behind the display and the issue is gone, so not a huge deal.

I like how it's touchscreen and has the 360 degree versatility, I've never had a laptop that did that before. I love the sleekness of this laptop, it's thin and doesn't weigh too much. It also looks very professional. The value is great for a 2 in 1 laptop; I got it for about $650 before tax and no regrets. Overall, this is an amazing laptop so far, and I expect it will last me a long time.
