Stainless steel contains chromium, which reacts with the oxygen in the air to form a protective film on the surface of the steel. This can occur in areas that have salt in the air. This protective layer prevents stainless steel from rusting or oxidizing, in the traditional sense of red oxide flaking off the steel. Owners Manual

Great for odd dimension openings

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I refinished our floor and had to float some low spots. This caused my opening to be smaller than most standard dimensions for most dishwashers. This fit my space well, easy to install, level, and so far it's been running well and cleaning well. It's also quiet and looks great. If you need more adjustability for an odd size opening, this is a great option.
