I love the concept, I love the Infrared..just doe snot get hot enough to Sear..unless it's Hot out..

This grill was easy to put together, and is great to cook on. It cleans up easily and the drip pan is the best I have ever had on a grill.

I just bought this electric bbq, I have not used it yet. The reason for the purchase was due to not being allowed to use propane,gas, or charcoal bbq's in the condominium. I'm skeptical because I've always believed to get that authentic bbq taste your going to need a propane or charcoal bbq.
I'm not sure what to expect but needless to say the reviews, and ratings on this model, based on performance, quality, ect were fairly high. A normal propane bbq isn't an option so this is the next best thing.
I will say for the price, features, and my purposes so far I give it top marks. I doubt I'll be disappointed in the results.

Was told we could not have an open flame grill in our condo. We talked to friends and they all said to look at this unit. Perfect call works as good as previous gas unit. We use it several nights a week and are so pleased with it.

Bad Engineering

The engineers did not think through the pedestal mechanics. The plastic feet that extend from the metal tubing were formed to accept a long screw that would hold them firmly in place but someone designed the feet to be held with a 3/8 inch screw that is unable to grasp the plastic feet and hold them tightly in place. Rather, the short screw barely grips the plastic feet; gets stripped out immediately rendering the feet useless and now you have steel legs tearing apart your deck or being scratched allowing them to rust prematurely. The engineering group really bozoed this one. They need to send everyone who already purchased the grill new screws that support the weight of the grill or a new pedestal set up.
Aside from that, it is a nice looking grill and I presume it will otherwise work as planned.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very Nice, Very Sharp Grill

I really like this grill. It looks awesome, it's very portable and cooks evenly, with no gas flare ups. It is much more heavy duty than I was expecting, very solid construction. The cooking surface is much larger than I was expecting, I was thinking it would only be a 12" circle or so. I used to live in a 2nd floor condo where gas grills were not permitted...I wish this was around then! My only complaint is that it takes a while to heat up, and it seems to lose heat quickly when the lid is lifted. I would recommend this grill to anyone looking for a solid, portable, nice looking grill. This item was sent as a free sample in exchange for my review.

Kinda dont want to go back to gas or char

seeing that we live in a "townhouse" we arnt allowed to have the regular grills.
I went out and bought this grill thinking ill be outside forever cooking. That wasnt the case. I think it took half the time and the food tasted the same.
I was shocked to hear my wife say "Dont be surprised you come home and im out here grilling"!!!! Thats how easy and safe this grill is..
