Good product for an electric grill

I like it a lot, but the clean up is a real chore....

We're sorry to hear of the issues encountered. How are you normally cleaning your grill? We recommend a nylon brush and warm soapy water or biodegradable grill cleaner. Not thought out very well.

Nice concept but poorly executed. The heating element seems like a standard oven heating element so it heats very unevenly. It’s also slow to heat up to temperature. Once it gets there, you’d better not even think of opening the grill because all of that heat escapes and will NOT come back up to temperature no matter how long you keep it closed. If you’re limited to an electric grill, your options are very few with this being one of them. If not, you’d be happier with either gas or charcoal.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My spouse thought I just couldn’t grill

This grill is the most disappointing grill I have ever used. Like so many others have commented on, the grill takes a while to reach 500 degrees, but as soon as you open the grill lid to put on steaks, the temperature drops to 350 degrees and doesn’t recover. I don’t want to slow cook a steak over an hour plus. My wife was convinced it was me, but after reading the reviews, I’m finally off the hook. With the high cost of steaks today, I’ve wasted too much money to ever use this grill again. I couldn’t be more disappointed.
