Overall build quality is very good. It was fairly easy to add additional stick of RAM. I really like the quality of display. All hardware is working nicely with Ubuntu 20.04 without any hassle drivers.

I use mine to write a lot and the keyboard is great. The track pad also works well. Other features: convenient selection of ports and a very nice display.

That's a long time to keep a machine but their performance lasted. I just upgraded from the T420s on Windows 7 to T490 because I needed Windows 10. After a week's use, I'm very pleased with my purchase. I trust the Lenovo ThinkPad product and am especially pleased with their keyboards. The fact that most offices that supply laptops to their employees are ThinkPads, says a lot about their reliability.
