[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I did the first update for windows the computer froze and then I had to completely reset it to factory specs again. It worked after the reset, but I shouldn't have to reset a computer to factory specs right after I take it out of hte box
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a small business owner that needed the portability of a laptop but the power of a desktop. The ThinkPad T490 is a great option. I use the dock at work which allows me to run my two screens to multi-task. At home I got a second dock if I need to or just am able to use as a laptop to get what we need done. This out performs my desktop at work and I am very happy with the speed of the ThinkPad. I wish I would of done this sooner.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely the best laptop I've had so far. I've only had three others so the bar isn't high. I get a product and I try to keep it as long as possible. My last laptop didn't last as long as the first two. So I set about looking for a laptop or brand that was known for making something that's built well and built to last. I came across ThinkPad. It has everything-I cross shopped it with the Surface Book 3 and Surface Laptop 3-and this came out on top. It's got parts you can swap or change, thunderbolt port, etc. I also appreciated it's construction, as I've got a nasty allergy to the nickel and cobalt sometimes found in electronic devices. So this laptop having a very different construction and paint job has also benefited me. Although, I wish it were easier to keep clean!
I would recommend this to a friend!
