I've owned several laptops of varying brands and none of them stand up to abuse like think Thinkpads. This isn't for gamers though, but great for everything else.

I love this laptop. It's fast, light, and the battery lasts all day. They keyboard is one of the most comfortable out there, and it runs Linux perfectly, including docking with the Thunderbolt 3 station.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the second ThinkPad I have bought for my college kids. The ThinkPad is so reliable, easy, powerful and has all the features we need. My oldest son, who knows everything there is to know about laptops, recommended the ThinkPad and he also has one (maybe two). You can buy it, set it up and never worry about it. I also work in technology and see many ThinkPads used across many companies, by technology experts around the globe.
