[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This ThinkPad is superb, with the keyboard being the panacea for those of us who care about ergonomics and design elements geared to help the owner work better and more efficiently.
From the chassis to the wonderful screen (which was an upgrade option), I'm quite gratified whenever I pick it up to use it.
The only downside is the fingerprint smudges that it seems to collect so easily.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a "working from home" employee, my computer, my cellphone, and my ear-buds are the lifeblood of my connection with the outside world. When it comes to these things, details matter. The Lenovo T490 satisfies the core requirements you would expect from any business laptop, but does it with an attention to detail that is second to none.
The tactile feel of the case is neither garish or flashy, but it offers a subtle confidence when you're carrying it under your arm. Lenovo is widely recognized as having the best keyboard, and this one doesn't stray from that heritage. The flexibility of the touchpad provides all the features that put Mac in the lead in this department to begin with - including two, three, and 4-finger swipe detection.
The Cameral, speakers, and microphone are not best in class, but provide perfectly suitable capabilities when you're not using external devices.
This device shines where it counts; excellent control of battery consumption for those long trips, a fantastic no-nonsense "on the road" keyboard, trackpad, camera, and mic experience, and great peripherals that allow you to "plug-in" when you're back in the office.
Finally - it does it with capable graphics, memory, OS, HDD, and chip so I never worry about lag, or the constant buzzing of the fan.
This one is a winner!
