Perfect laptop for corporate or personal use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent laptop/notebook. I used to buy large 17inch, or 15inch laptops, but this 14 inch screen is incredible. I upgraded to 16GB of ram (something you cant do with the T490s). This laptop replaced my desktop. I have a docking station, and it works flawlessly. High speed ports, including USB 3.1 Gen 2, and a Thunderbolt port. I'm used to an i7, however I found this i5 is more than adequate. I run the following programs concurrently, and it still has substantial available CPU usage: MicroStation, Google Earth, Outlook, MS Office, MS Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and Firefox with several tabs open, and I've even run both MicroStation and AutoCAD concurrently without any issues. This laptop is amazing. Perfectly size to pull out if I'm making trips to meetings and need to work on the road (not while driving of course), and perfect when paired with the lenovo docking station. This computer is similar to a toughbook as well. The quality and craftsmanship exceed any other laptop I've ever owned. As a company owner, I'm going to be replacing several employees work stations with a t490 and docking station. They easily connect to our domain/network, and the remote desktop setup works perfect. In short, what I'm not impressed with is the speed and durability. These laptops will last for years to come.
