A high performance, lower budget, work-horse

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, this laptop "lives up to the hype" in terms of performance and speed. I rely on this computer to perform large tasks in program R and excel, and it doesn't seem to skip a beat. I am aware that Lenovo makes laptops of higher caliber, specifically for the programming tasks that I require, but unfortunately, as a graduate student, these other laptops are out of my price range. The ThinkPad T490 however, is the perfect laptop for someone looking for a high performance computer, at a lower cost. Highly recommend!
