I had a T470p and this new laptop is such a great improvement. Battery life has been great so far (I've had it for less than a month). My 14'' T490 is very light and perfect size to take to conferences and meetings.

No problem using Linux (Ubuntu) on it either, with a very smooth install. I've been passionate about Thinkpads for a long time, and I hope the T490 will show its best in the family!

Excellent build quality through out. Practical port selection. This is my second ThinkPad. The first was a X220 that ran well for years. This one ( the T490} feels like it will out last that one.
