[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Speaker is a very lightweight plastic, with color changing led lights. Connectivity was simple; turned the speaker on and it said "bluetooth" and I opened the bluetooth in my phone and it was there. Sound quality is decent I suppose. There is a bit of "tunnel" tinny sound to it that leaves it lacking a bit. For outdoor use though this will be just fine. there are options to listen to the AM FM radio which is nice, no need to have it plain music that may or may not be saved in your device. Charging is simple with the included cable, just need a power block to connect it to.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve owned and used quite a few Bluetooth speakers, and they all have their pros and cons, but I’m happy to report that the iLive Bluetooth Tailgate Party Speaker has a ton going for it, and so far, nothing to complain about. So super short review is,it’s awesome, and I love it.
The first thing I noticed when I took the iLive out of the box is that it is very light. This made me nervous initially. There doesn’t seem to be much heft to it, so I questioned its ability to sustain a party or tailgate. But don’t judge a speaker by its weight, at least in this case. The iLive has plenty of volume, and very good sound quality. I’m no engineer, but however the iLive is creating such sound with such a very light package is genius.
I love that the back of the speaker has a physical knob to change the volume. Turning the knob is very satisfying. Too, there are other options and inputs on the back, including the ability to change the track and the source. And an added bonus are inputs for a common Aux and USB, and the very rare Mic In. This is really nice, and goes to show that the iLive is going the extra mile.
Connecting your device via Bluetooth is intuitive and foolproof. Turning on the speaker, it audibly announces that it is available to connect, and the device immediately popped up on my phone. The connection was solid and uninterrupted.
It comes with a cord to charge it, but no power brick (as is common with devices today), so be prepared to have one on hand before powering it up.
It has handles on each side of the speaker, which are easy to hold and wide, so any hand can fit inside. And because the iLive is so ridiculously light, this is the kind of speaker you can carry onto the dance floor and hold over your head to amp everything up.
It has multicolored lights on the front, pulsing two colors, one on top, and one on bottom. This is a fun feature that really makes a splash in a crowd. The battery lasts as expected, though I generally leave it plugged in when using it.
It has a good size to it, and I’ve included a picture with a standard sized soda can so you can get the scale.
This really is a blast to have at a party, and it seems to be very well put together. I expect and hope that it lasts for a very long time. I'm very happy to have it, and very much recommend!.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tailgater speaker is pretty cool. It's definitely loud and that's great for almost any occasion. We've used this tailgating in loud parking lots, out camping, family parties, etc and it has always outperformed expectations. The LED lights are pretty cool. Especially if you're shutting down a campfire at night and need to find where you put the speaker! It charges fast and it lasts a long time. It's super easy to connect via Bluetooth and, if necessary, I really like the option to plug it in via audio cord. All in all I really like this speaker. The only draw back is not being able to adjust the bass, mid and treble. Other than that definitely recommend.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my Ilive Bluetooth speaker a while back and I’m very pleased with it. The features of the speaker are awesome it has led lights that flash different colors with the beat of the music. It also has a microphone hook up for those nights you would wanna do Karaoke. It’s light weight and it’s easy to move around. It also has a AM/FM feature on it if you just wanna listen to the radio. I’m very pleased with this product and would recommend it to anyone.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this iLive party speaker! We had a party speaker that was so heavy that I struggled to lift it. I can easily lift this with the comfortable handle and move it around myself. The sound is strong and clear. The lights are fun! It is wireless Bluetooth with a 60 foot range. It has a built in battery that recharges with the included USB charging cord. Party time!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Here are the Pros: 1. easy to connect 2. great lighting affects - my daughter is excited to bring this camping to add some fun when the sun goes down! 3. FM radio 4. SUPER lightweight
Here are the Cons: 1. Even with my phone at max volume, the speaker at max volume is not super loud
As of now, my only complaint is the volume. We've not been in loud areas, so I am not sure what true impact it will have, just know if you are looking for something really loud, this one might not be it for you.
