Some background first. I played a lot of competitive volleyball (local not pro) until I was about 40 years old. Stayed in pretty good shape running, playing, lifting, etc. I was working on an excellent strength training program when a disk in my tailbone broke apart. This is an injury incurred by many years of volleyball; it had nothing to do with my weight training program. For the next 15 years I was unable to work out AT ALL. Casual walking - no. Simple core exercises (limited motion) - no. The last time I tried was in the middle of 2019. After a week of VERY simple exercises, the pain was back. I decided I needed something designed for low impact to help get me started again. I used BowFlex products in the past, so I bought a Max Trainer M8. After 3 weeks, I can say I've made great progress (up to 11 minutes now) and have experienced NO back pain. This is a HUGE (and welcome) change in my life. I feel so much better now. Hopefully the couch potato days are gone for good. Scott

I found the assembly was very easy and straight forward, took about an hour and a half. Been only using it for 3 weeks but so far I love it, so does my daughter. It's a good looking machine, the noise level is good and the build quality seems great, very sturdy. I went back and forth on which model to buy, very glad I went with the M8, the upgraded handles and foot pedals are very nice. Love the look of the display as well. Been using the app for the 14 min session after doing the fitness test, so far it is great. Haven't experimented with the other programs at this point. My only negative comment is around the optional monthly subscription. The Canadian price is too high and does not reflect an accurate exchange rate so I have not signed up for that at this point. Not sure I will ever feel the need but time will tell. Overall very pleased with my purchase.

I received the max trainer about a month ago. I have used the machine practically everyday...6x a week. It's great having a machine at home...if I can't get to my workout early in the morning, like I normally do, I get to it in the evening. No More Excuses! I am trying to lose weight and I can already see and feel the progress. It's amazing how much more active I have become. I am now always full of energy. It's a life changer! However, the app does not work so well. It's full of glitches and difficult to disconnect from the machine. At this point, I just stopped using the app...it's annoying.
Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Easy Storage, Easy To Set Up, Easy To Use, Quiet, Strengthens
Cons: App - full of glitches
