This thing is a beast. I've rarely seen a piece of home equipment built this well. I have no doubt it will serve me well as I get my terrible knees and fat butt back into decent shape. Smooth, quiet, incredibly well built. Assembly takes a couple of hours. Take your time and avail yourself of the YouTube assembly video. You can thank me later.

First off, the unit arrived within a week after I ordered it and there were no issues at all with the delivery. The machine went together fairly easily. I put it together all by myself in about 2 hours. However, for those who are not mechanically inclined, it might be a bit more of a challenge, but still doable by just about anybody. The machine is very sturdy and operates smoothly and quietly. It had a slight squeak at first, but went away after applying a little of the supplied silicone grease on the rails. I love the range of motion on this unit. The 22 inch stride length is perfect for me and my girlfriend and I'm only 5'7" and she's 5'4". Other units with smaller stride lengths tend to feel more like you're on a stairmaster rather than an elliptical. The range of motion on this unit is perfect. The resistance at first feels very hard, even on level 1, but doesn't take long to built up your strength and endurance so that you can easily use the machine at whatever level and pace you are comfortable with. I've only had the machine for a few days now, but overall this seems like an excellent machine that will give you a great workout without the impact of running.

This elliptical has been great so far. This machine has been used to meet the cardio needs of our household. We have various physiques at varying fitness levels and we all find this machine to be well made and easy to use. I found it was much easier to assemble than I expected after reading other reviews. It did take about 4 hours to assemble but it's due to being unfamiliar with the machine and it's parts. If I needed to assemble another one it would take me about 1.5 hours now. Make sure you have a exercise pad or non slip flooring to place this machine on if you plan to use it for HIIT.

Cons: Base moves during high intensity training, Elliptical slides during high intensity training, Needs non slip mat under base for HIIT

I bought this BXE216 elliptical as I rarely have time to go the the gym, but do have 30 - 45 minutes between phone calls. Now that the BXE216 is "right there" I can jump on it, get in a quick workout and be back to the calls without driving around to the gym. #sweepstakes is one reason I am writing this review, but I do want to share my opinion too. Set up was a challenge as two wires in the pedestal were reversed. I was able to attach a string, pull the two wires through, and pull them back in the correct orientation. After this issue was resolved, assembly was fine - just follow the well written directions. If the directions suggest 2 people, get a helper.

I initially reviewed this Elliptical a little over a year ago, and gave it four stars, but now after using it all this time I'm giving it five stars. The machine has performed flawlessly from the start, and the one minor item that bothered me (an occasional noise) was eliminated by adjusting the peddles from the 0 setting to the 2 setting, which I have really liked. The machine has remained very sturdy and quiet and is an excellent low impact workout, and the calorie counter, while being somewhat frugal, is very consistent and provides great feedback for measuring your workouts. FYI - first review is also by Dog dad.
