My first gaming pc and I liking what I got!

I looked at a lot of reviews for this laptop. Mostly mixed but the only complaints was that the screen was poor and the heating. So far those two things aren't bothering me at all. I just wanted a strong computer that can handle high performance and I think this does the job; I'm having fun with game and playing them all at their highest settings with no problems. The screen I guess is average and the camera has only 720p resolution so I doesn't make things look too pristine on Zoom. As for the heat I honestly had worse the fan does a decent job, though it really does get loud but I don't mind too much plus it has different fan modes like silent mode that help; I have a ergonomic laptop stand that holds the laptop at an angle allowing the fans to do their job better so no overheating issues. Battery life is ok I heard it is good for a gaming laptop but I guess that's fair considering how much power goes through this thing. So as far as a minor issues I've had so far was for some reason the computer would not go into sleep mode on its own even though I had the setting set that way; I don't know if it was a Windows issue of the laptop but it thankfully fixed itself. And I do wish the RGB keyboard had a few more lighting styles but other then that a great laptop with great specs at the price I paid. And I can't think of anything else at the moment. Hope this helps sorry for the essay.

This thing is wicked fast, keyboard is terrific.
We upgraded the disk drives and RAM ourselves and it was very easy to work on.
Came with NVMe; we put a larger one in and added an SSD. Welcome surprise is that there is also another m.2 slot.
Good array of ports, and size is more compact than our prior unit (also ASUS ROG) but with same size display.

Great for gaming

I have for item for a while and works great, good fps for my liking and handles every game I want to play perfectly and whas usefull lately with everything going online

Great Laptop

I've had this laptop for almost 6 months. I use it for normal use and I also use it for gaming. It is great for normal use and it can run almost all of my games at max settings with FPS around 40 - 120 with silent and performance mode. The fans get a little loud on performance and turbo which is why I like to play with silent even at the price of lower frames. Overall its a great laptop for everyday use and gaming.

Everything is great except..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Everything is great, except that the track pad is broken and glitchy. It will frequently not respond to my fingers movement. Its okay though, stuff happens. Other than that, it is a solid notebook! Built well, doesnt overheat! I love it! :D

Gaming Beast at best price. I can play the latest games such as Cyberpunk, Assassin Creed Valhala in high fps without any lag

Great boot up and video performance

After two months, I'm generally very happy with my ASUS TUF FX505DV. Startup is almost instantaneous and video performance is very good. This was the best priced Ryzen 7/RTX 2060 combo I could find and the graphics do not disappoint. The fan can get a bit loud when gaming and the plastic keyboard/mousepad feels a little cheap, but this is a budget priced gaming laptop and it does not disappoint overall.

Works very well. A lot faster than my old one. will be trying gaming on this. Easy to use. Still learning how to use it. Will buy a gaming mouse for it. will enjoy it even more.
