Excellent Gaming Laptop!!

I purchased my ASUS TUF A17 FA707XI-NS94 gaming laptop from Newegg on Cyber Monday last year. I have waited to do this review, in exchange for an Extended 90-day warranty from ASUS, until after putting the system through its paces. I received the laptop a few days later and after initial setup, which was simple, began playing various games on it at max level settings for all settings. Nothing has slowed this system down. ASUS has done a great job at including extra venting holes for the heat dissipation! However, it is a laptop and does not have as much airflow as a desktop system, so it does have heat build-up occur. When using the laptop for gaming purposes, I have a cooling fan base that I use, which helps keep the laptop much cooler. I mainly use this system for gaming purposes, but also personal research and occasionally for work purposes.
This is my second ASUS laptop, and the only reason I needed to "replace" my old one is because it has become outdated, as it was purchased somewhere around 2010. I would definitely recommend this laptop to anyone looking for an excellent gaming laptop. I was on the fence as to what brand and model I would purchase, and I am extremely happy I went with this laptop from ASUS. The build of this laptop is listed as ASUS TUF Gaming A17 (2023) Gaming Laptop, 17.3" FHD 144Hz Display, GeForce RTX 4070, AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS, 16GB DDR5, 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, Wi-Fi 6, Windows 11, FA707XI-NS94 on Newegg.

WHAT A BEAST! i can run call of duty on balanced graphics, run steeleseries moments clipping games, and run twitch studio streaming. if you want a machine that can do this, look no further. that uses about 6-7gm vram.
install armoury create first before anything, set your preferred rgb for keyboard (plan on leaving it) then do a fresh install of windows. this will bug out the keyboard rgb in a good way i promise. making it fixed to preference. INSTALL GEFORCE, LEAVE OUT AMD APP AND ARMOURY CREATE! AS ALL 3 APPS HAVE PERFORMANCE ENHANCING STUFF AND IT'S SEEEMINGLY BLOATWARE! do not make the mistake i made and install all three and start tweaking settings as they will conflict. also if you change the setting for the muk and choose your dedicated gpu display for everything, the integrated will reflect in the system but not in display settings to rechoose the integrated. i had to change the display to dynamic in bios and then i had access to turn the muk back on.

one gripe, the mouce and keyboard is to the left and not so symmetrical. im right handed, to fix this, i chose to flip the mouse button to primary left. so im now teaching myself to right click with my left thumb on the track pad and left click with my right thumb as its positions appropriately with the board being shifted to the left.
