Overall, I love this suitcase. It's distinguishable, durable on different types of trips (over the past 1.5 months, I had flown on two 777s, three A321s, and an Embraer 145 - a really tiny plane!), and it can fit a lot.
It did get beat up because of its flat surface and color, making scuffs from the cargo hold easy to see compared to black suitcases, which was expected. I'm a sticker nerd, so I wanted a suitcase just like this, without grooved surfaces, common on most suitcases (and stickers cover up damages that won't come out). Though the smooth look on the front is satisfying, having support ridges also on the front would perhaps prevent further damage.
The wheels were also fairly scuffed, so the one thing I would really change is making the wheel size bigger and the rubber lining thicker. Though this is just my experience, going over uneven cement in cities like London would have been easier with bigger wheels - less friction and less likely to get stuck.

NOT sturdy. Cracks easily

I have had my American Tourist suitcase for a little over a year. The past two times I have received it back from Southwest Airlines it has been cracked. First time was a corner crack and tonight it was cracked even more. I requested this suitcase from my spouse as I heard nothing but great things about the brand but now I am concerned about the sturdiness of this suitcase. I do not recommend to others as I had at the beginning of our purchase.

Very disappointed

I purchased a whole set of these in May of 2024 but have only used the largest one so far. I used it for the first time on July 19th. We noticed that it wasn't standing up straight when we arrived at our destination. Upon closer inspection, we found that one of the wheels was poking into the suitcase itself. The surrounding material was cracked. I can't begin to tell you how disappointed I was to discover this. I am also afraid to use the other two. I realize that baggage handlers at US airports can be a bit rough, but I think these luggage pieces should be able to withstand it.

I was so excited to have beautiful matching luggage. Unfortunately on our second trip out the air handlers crushed the corner of the suitcase with the wheel making it unusable in addition to gouges and scratches. It is now unusable. Now that I have read other reviews, I will look for something else.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really surprised to see what high quality this suitcase it. It is easy to maneuver because of the four 360°wheels. The handle has a lock on it so when you pull it up it says put. I love the inside zipper modesty pocket as well as the ability to zip up and enclose the one side. I will buy the other 2 pieces in the set asap. I am ABSOLUTLY thrilled with this product

Pretty sure it was a return. There was no packaging and everything was unzipped. When I tried to contact thru email, it took too long to hear back. They told me I had to call. If I did that, my daughter wouldn't have had luggage.
