Good attachment but poor quality

I am repurchasing this attachment after it was lost in travel and for some reason the surface of this new attachment is already peeling after just a couple of uses. I never had this issue with the previous one I owned for years, so not sure why but the quality doesn’t seem as good as it used to be.
