Support for this product is abysmal

They took the app off of the apple app store in Canada and so many of the features are useless. The support offered a response of "well its visible on the google store" and has not given any more support. I've only had the device for 6 months and it been a month of me asking for help.
Utterly trash and I would not recommend anyone buying the mygeko products if you want to use any of the features like downloading videos without a computer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

An Awesome Dashcam

I have had 3 or 4 other dashcams over the last while, some with 1080p capability, and all were good, but this GEKOgear camera is by far the best yet. The definition is amazing, the super wide lens is great and the setup is straightforward and easy. The transfer of files to my iPhone is smooth, and I don't have to remove the SD card to copy videos. I find that the 5 minute segments available are long enough to provide a good review of specific portions of a trip, and the GPS tracking data could really be helpful.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does what it should

My boyfriend gave this to me for my parents’ car and it’s pretty decent. The camera was pretty easy to install and doesn’t look clunky. It has great image quality both during morning and night and works well with the Geko app. While I’m not a huge fan of the fact that driving sessions are recorded in five minute intervals (ie. you drive for 15 minutes, they give you three 5-min videos), it’s been manageable - for the one time we did need to pull the footage, once we found which video the incident was recorded on, we only had to download the one video.
I was concerned about the privacy issues with the GPS tracking but I think with Apple’s new privacy features (we have the app on an iPhone), it doesn’t concern me as much as it would. Though you can use it without the app if you’ve got something to read the SD card. Overall, it’s good enough for my aging parents who don’t have many particular demands and gives me peace of mind.
