Like an upgraded Chromebook

i enjoy the chromebook i have had for 4-5 years, and find that this is upgraded, elegant, and has the full capabilities a laptop should have. when cbs aren't enough for your needs, + you want to upgrade, this is a good choice. i think it's a decent laptop. not mesmerizing, but it does what i need it to.
for the price, samsung should have sent this with better packaging. the keyboard is very smooth/easy to use. windows fingerprint is ultra fast. the trackpad comes with gestures + is comfortable to use. power on/off only takes a minute or less. opening programs is a breeze. the display is beautiful + crisp! this is yet another samsung device that will show you what 1080p actually is + isn't. the sound is fine. it's not the loudest on some videos, but music, movies, skype, etc sound good.
I would recommend this to a friend!

great screen, lightweight, great battery, good performance....terrible speakers; also, the ctr key on the keyboard squeaks so quality could be better.

...but just ok. not outstanding, spectacular, or wonderful, just ok. the only wow factor is how light and thin it is. the performance is great. the features, not so great.

Great Laptop, Poor Sound.

i've had this laptop for several months now and it has been a great laptop. it's lightweight, fast, and has an amazing screen and battery life. that being said, the speakers on this laptop are some of the worst i've heard, my note 10 phone has louder speakers than my laptop which is disappointing if you want to watch anything on the amazing screen this laptop has. i wish samsung would offer an upgrade for speakers because that would take this laptop to the next level.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great lightweight laptop

Just got my 15.6" galaxy book ion and love it. Its fast, has quick boot up, and the QLED display is amazing. Its size, weight and processing power are perfect for my needs. Only thing I will be looking into is upgrading the RAM to at least 16gb. I am very happy with this purchase.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Lightweight, Built-in speakers, Durable

Got this a day ago. Samsung is back on track in laptop business.
The QLED screen is something that we've never seen before in a laptop.
I love how everything can be connected (Samsung PC, Phone, Tablet, SH, etc)

If sound is important to you, don't buy

i have a 2011 samsung laptop that still works wonderfully, i upgraded just to have something more modern for the shift to work from home. i have constant zoom and skype meetings. i never thought to check the specs on the speakers. i checked everything else. it is a lovely design, display, and its fast. but at max volume it is still hard to hear. with a fan on it is impossible to hear. you have to rely on external speakers or headphones for meetings, videos, etc. for me to spend a grand on a laptop, i'd like to be able to hear whats on the screen. i'm disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fantastic laptop

this is just a fantastic laptop. the screen is gorgeous, colors pop, and the blacks are deep. keyboard is enjoyable to type on, and trackpad is roomy and responsive. i love the selection of ports on this laptop as well as the upgradable ram slot (inside the laptop). battery life is amazing and charging is quick. personal preference but i think the color is beautiful, color changing finish can be everything from a candy pink to a silvery blue. aesthetically i can not fault this laptop in anyway. needed improvements: right shift button has been shrunk for fingerprint sign in, make it whole again. needs laptop usb-c charging and do away with the barrel charger. thats it! others complain sound is lacking, i say its actually really good, it just doesn't get as loud as other laptops.
